End-User License Agreement
--------------------------

Before using this product, please, read carefully the applied End-User License Agreement (EUAL.txt). Note that the supplied License Agreement can be out-of-date, especially if you got this installation from a public shareware catalog or other place which are not updated very fast. The latest effective License Agreement and other rules of our company related to licensing and support can be always found on our website at http://www.10Tec.com/.

-----------------
Trial Limitations
-----------------

This installation installs the demo version of the iGrid.NET DLL. When you attempt to use it in the demo application or your apps, you will get a nag screen with the mention of it. You can also see a watermark label with the "Unregistered" word in the bottom-right corner of the grid. These things are displayed with some delay (several minutes) after you have opened a form that contains iGrid.NET.

This demo also installs the demo version of the optional add-on component for iGrid.NET, PrintManager, which can be used to print and print-preview the contents of iGrid.NET. The demo version of the PrintManager DLL also outputs a watermark label with the "Unregistered" word on the paper.

The demo versions of the components have no functional limitation and can be used to test any feature.

These copies of the components cannot be unlocked to remove the nag screens. If you need to unlock them, you should buy the retail versions of the components through our website http://www.10Tec.com/.

How to Install and Run the Demo
-------------------------------

To install the iGrid.NET demo, launch the iGrid.NET.2.5.Demo.exe file included into this package. The installation requires the .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher. It is desirable to have administrator privileges to install iGrid.NET and all of its options in your system and Visual Studio IDE (otherwise you'll need to do some actions by yourself).

After the installation is completed, you will be able to run the iGrid.NET demo. It is launched automatically unless you clear the 'Launch demo' checkbox on the last form of the installation wizard dialog. The installation program also creates the iGrid.NET Demo shortcuts on the desktop and in the Start menu - see the 10Tec Products\iGrid .NET 2.5 program group; these shortcuts can be used later to launch the demo.

----------------
Demo Source Code
----------------

The demo of the product is supplied with full source code you can recompile, launch, and examine to know how iGrid.NET can be used. The source code is supplied in two totally equivalent solutions a C# and VB.NET version.

The source code solutions were created in Visual Studio 2005, but can be used in Visual Studio 2008 as well after conversion. The Visual Studio Conversion Wizard is launched automatically when you open one of our solution files for the first time, and the conversion process does not require any special settings you can just click the Finish button in the Wizard for that.

However, we noticed the following important things you need to take into account when opening the solutions in VS2008:

1) If you work under Vista, the Visual Studio IDE should be launched with elevated administrator privileges if the source code of the demo is located in such special system folders as Program Files (the default location for this installation). If it is the case, you get the 'Restart Visual Studio under different credentials' request when opening one of our solutions in VS2008. Just confirm this automatic request, and Visual Studio will be relaunched with the required rights.

2) While converting the C# solution to the VS2008 format, the Conversion Wizard changes the startup project to the first project in the solution (DemoTools) that is not right. You should set the iGridDemo project as startup manually. It can be done, for instance, with the 'Set as StartUp Project' item in the context menu in the VS Solution Explorer.

3) While converting the C# solution to the VS2008 format, the Conversion Wizard changes the Target CPU setting for the startup project, iGridDemo, from the 'x86' value to 'AnyCPU' that is not right especially if you launch our demo on 64-bit processors. The demo uses data from an MS Access database in some samples and the .NET OleDbProvider to access these data, so the 'x86' setting is required to launch our demo properly (the OleDbProvider can work only in 32-bit mode). You should set this property of the project to 'x86' manually in the Project Properties dialog: open the Compile tab, click the 'Advanced Compile Options...' button at the bottom of the tab, and find the 'Target CPU:' setting in the opened 'Advanced Compile Settings' dialog. The Project Properties dialog can be opened, for instance, with the 'Properties' item in the context menu in the VS Solution Explorer.
